Here's my idea: BigDaddy vs GoDaddy. BigDaddy can offer hosting and domain services to compete with the other "Big Dogs" in the hosting and domain market. Of course BigDaddy would offer packages that blow away the competition and also allow the use of Advantage Points to pay for the services offered either in full or for partial credit. Whadaya think?

I think BigDaddy.com should look at offering domains with hostings and servers. Including site builders, shopping carts, and tips and advice for website builders would be another perk!

I have an idea for your new BigDaddy.com website. One Big Problem here in the US is Health Care Cost. Private Health Insurance Monthly premiums are jumping up in price at an alarming rate. Over 40 million now are without health insurance at all.

My idea is that BigDaddy offer health insurance at rates much lower than the other insurance companies, also maybe a discount could be offered for prescription drugs.

The Big Daddy health insurance could be advertised on all the new city portals. The city Keyword managers would get 10% of the monthly premium. I believe this system would be quite profitable for everyone and all of us with expensive insurance would benefit as well.

All kinds of charities could advertise on the website, local pharmacies, even doctors and more.

My suggestion for Big Daddy.com is to use it for a School for all things Big Daddy. I like the name Big Daddy Institute.
You could have Keyword Manager Classes.City affiliate classes,affiliate classes,advertising classes,and etc.

I would like to see a special section within www.BigDaddy.com that would have independent URL's pointing to 1001 different storage bins used to contain our papers, lecture notes, letters to the editor, etc.

This would allow an industrious SBD user to display 101 articles in each of 1001 independent storage bins: each bin with a different URL.

Why different URL's? Having one URL listed 1001 times at one URL looks like spamming.

I am using the Microsoft Office Document Imaging program to scan all of my old papers and lecture notes into WORD. I edit the text with WORD; and, then I create a PDF file. I can re-create a 50 page document in a few hours with new drawings, etc.

Ken is correct, SBD Friends is not popular. It's far too restricted. I, too, would like to see SBD Friends or a BD Friends that would allow friends to write to each other 101 times a day if we please. If a friend becomes a spammer of junk mail, just delete him from your list of friends. Send SBD Friends mail is a pain; therefore, many of us have exchanged email addresses and do not use the mail within SBD Friends.

Create a Friends that we will enjoy using; and, we will use it.

There could be reviews, advertising, etc. for everything from automobiles to solar & wind power generation to locally produced food. Especially the food! With the way our national food supply is being handled we may rethink producing and buying homegrown.

I would like to suggest in addition the suggestion I made yesterday, that bigdaddy.com should start auction site and that site should be linked to local searchbigdaddy.com.
The affliates/members should be able to list the items they want to sell or auction. The listing should be free but the chargable a certain percentage of the price when the item get sold. This income should be shared with respective CKM or CAM thus generating some extra income for CKM or CAM.

A map of the US that is active and as you roll over various states or pinpointes it pops up with the SBD Local city name. A user can then click on it to drill down into the Local pages. If need me they can just click on the state and that would take them to a larger map of the state and again allow them to rollover the various cities and drill to the one they are looking for.

I was about to suggest this same thing, a Free listing auction website (money to be made after succesful selling) will bring a lot of traffic. if users could include also their adsense, adbrite, or whatever service they use to earn directly as publishers, it could be perfect and will draw more users from the many communities that are starting to proliferate because of this opportunity of making immediate earnings. A free listing auction site, combined with the social community flavor and immediate earnings through publisher's sharing it is a winner in my opinion.

America is fascinated with TV, and just about everyone I know loves to see themselves or their family and friends on video.

I think that perhaps you could do something that would allow for the posting of video for business and individuals. Maybe use a series of how to videos that will help business owners, so that this particular market will to tune in. In between these instructional videos, short clips of advertising would be inserted, maybe before each programming. This would generate some interest from the advertisers.

Not only that, you can offer content of general interest that would draw in the general public to become viewers. Incidentally, since we all love the camera so much, some form of program could be developed to allow the general public to provide their content with limitations of course. One of the things that you can do is insert advertisements before the free public content is played.

Initially you can offer a free package to lure the general public in, after growing membership numbers, you can offer some kind of upgraded version to bring in some revenue. Once you have the membership numbers to brag, then you can come to the business owners and offer them the advertising opportunities.

Out of this program, you can use an affiliate system that would allow site owners to post the video content on their site in exchange for some revenue sharing (sort of like The News Room). This will provide them with fresh content, and it will give BigDaddy.com many links all over the Internet, exposure to potential advertisers, and very low cost advertising.

The thing would be coming up with a slogan to go along with it.

One feature you might wish to add in a new property might be some type of advertising co-op where members can pool their resources to get advertising space on a bigger platform.

Perhaps a group could go in together and buy keywords on some large network on the web and then have their ads rotate into the network.

This might be a way for the "little guy" to get some broad exposure across the internet on a more affordable basis than simply trying to bid on popular keywords alone against deep pocketed competitors. Since the whole idea of SearchBigDaddy is to overcome this problem, adding this feature if possible might really appeal to members and produce some good revenues.

In regards to your current developments, I would suggest a way to communicate. That would involve Instant Messenger and VOIP technology maybe tied to the email system. You would need to provide a universal IM program that uses others also, to bring yahoo, msn, google talk, etc. users over to BigDaddy system allowing VOIP chat also. Advertising can run on IM Client, and also could offer branding for your Affiliates.

You could offer then a Auction System based on the points affiliates earn through BigDaddy. Would be more like Barter systems, allow users to sell and buy items needed for their business. IM Client would be user full here to allow networked users to contact one another.

Hope my ideas spark even more ideas to benefit us struggling family's, just starting out with investing into BigDaddy, trying to earn enough to finally support our family's with their demanding needs.

OK here are my ideas, which are sort of a combination of some of the above. In my mind it should be an integration of services that all flow together well. 1. Do capitalize on the GoDaddy.com and BigDaddy.com similarities and offer domain names and web hosting at competitive rates. It is essential to make a way for every member to receive cash commissions on sales of those items from their sites, so include a link to BigDaddy.com on all SearchBigDaddy pages, so the member gets credit for the purchases. 2. Include a domain auction site with free listings and even extended listings where you don't pay until it is sold. 3. Include a regular auction site, also don't pay until you sell or something like a minimal listing fee of say 25 cents regardless of price and a small percentage of price when sold. Also link this to affiliates in that if your downline list and auction you get a small portion of their fees. Allow us to set up an optional store with listings for a small monthly fee and also pay a small percentage of the fees from our downlines. This encourages 2 things-building our downlines and working with our groups. Imperative to make automatic download upon payment available (present download link) for sale of digital items. 4. Do Wordpress type blogs with more control over our own blogs. 5. Members forum and a marketing forum similar to WSO and allow special offers. Again a small charge for WSO type offers where we get paid on our downlines. Members forum should focus on events at SearchBigDaddy and teaching members to prosper with a separate focus of the marketing forum. Use the forums to build alliances and teams to work on endeavors together. Also allow people available for outsourcing projects to network. 6.. I see the new property as a HUB that easily leads to every SBD feature. It would be the HOME link on all other current and future properties.

I recall a great freeware site (Rocket-something) that had a simple wheel with spokes, each leading to a main category. Our wheel could have spokes leading to LOCAL, FRIENDS, E-CARDS, KINDNESS, etc.

This page could also be dedicated to helping visitors learn
about SBD. Some of the links in the back office of affiliates might present — faqs, contact links, perhaps even a login link.

I would not dedicate this page to a specific commercial function. The priority with a dispersed collection of possible advertising vehicles is one page which makes i easily possible to understand what it's all about.

Think of this as a modular hub.

I love all the different areas of opportunities but I get lost in trying to figure what to do, and sometimes it is overwhelming for my novice position.

Here is one more suggestion from me in addition to the suggestions I have already posted. Bigdaddy.com should signup with a good homebased business. The affliates should be placed
below bigdaddy.com thus generating passive income to the affliates. CKM and CAM can be given preference in this regard

My 12 years old twins are going to school and what they first learn with using internet is: Search in google to find informations. When i ask my childrens to search in SBD, them are missing the place to find pictures and also german spoken videos. So they are fast changing to Google.

Now, people here - young and old - need their informations in their language. And the tools to translate a website from english into german (in Google and also in SBD too) are not usable and the translations don't bring the message to the readers. So they jumb away looking for well translated and serious looking local sites in a correct written language.

As City Keyword Manager Switzerland and CAM Columbia, SC I am following all updates since I became a member in Spring 2006.

My suggest for the new Sister Site BigDaddy.com is, that BigDaddy has to be as simple as every child can use it - in their language and also flexible enough that a user can creat an own bookmark/startpage as an entry page. To reach as example teachers in all public schools, that they use BigDaddy needs time, and when CKM are not able to begin today, all is during longer.

And: Google has promoted last week, that they are growing here in Zurich and they are building over 1500 new workplaces. And Zurich is a good place for Google, because with the University they can recruit the best students for their futural goals. Google is bringing local income here and that is what common people need to see here.

As CEO of Modern Music School - Switzerland I have a big personal contact list (to privat and public people in different parts in Switzerland). So I would like to see, that the german, french and italian version of SBD will be as soon as possible avaiable, that I can recommand SBD in my personal network in Europe.

I think the car wrap idea was excellent, unexpected, simple and yet profound. This is the type of ideas you want to come up with. There not easy to find but they are out there.

I feel it critical that Big Daddy keeps the focus on local communities. Now having said that, what makes up local communities….yes that's right people. People stories, comments, interest, gossip etc. etc.

Names trump everything, the more names that appear locally the more interest it creates.

I have been reading all the comments posted lately and the idea might not work. I have another idea. If you take a look at the Yahoo.com main page many of the ideas suggested here are already out there.

I agree with a post by daniel77 about starting a Big Daddy School.

My downline, and I am sure problably most of us have problems understanding the Search Big Daddy system.

A school needs to be started that teaches all about Search Big Daddy. Has a forum for us all to talk to our downlines with. The forum could also have suggestions on help with building a downline, getting a business started on the internet and so on.

Also a personal downline builder page where you can list 4 of your programs that you are promoting. You could advertise this page could in traffic exchanges and so forth.

You could of course have a keyword cloud page on the main BigDaddy.com home page and advertisers could place banners and text ads there as well.

I'm going to second the suggestion already made by several commenter's that SBD add an auction service like eBay to it's next property. I'd also like to second the suggestion that SBD add a payment processor to it's property/service. Both Paypal and eBay need some competition. Many people want to use another service in both areas but can't find any as popular as eBay or Paypal.

I would also like to see domain registration become a part of the next SBD service/property. [And hopefully you'll offer discounts for SBD members.]

I really like playing Limbo auctions [www.limbo.com] unfortunately, they are very difficult to win. I wish there were a site that had the same format as Limbo but that gave players a greater chance at landing a prize. [Or at least gave away some "frequent player" prizes so you don't always walk away empty handed. Like maybe you earn SBD Loot as you play and can cash it in for manufactures coupons food. [I wouldn't mind landing a coupon for a free snickers bar.] And to help pay for prizes send out text ads from advertisers to users who sign up.

How about Big Daddy Text Messaging Service. Allows anyone to create a group for any purpose and send them a text message from a members area.

My last suggestion would be SBD Rewards. This is where you allow webmasters, affiliate managers, and anyone else that owns a business to offer rewards to their customers/employees/members just for using their services. This could be a thing where SBD could offer some rewards that these businesses could use to hand out like t-shirts, mugs, calendars, etc. , or simply act as a platform if you will by offering to host the businesses reward page, help the businesses keep track of customer reward points, and maybe a few other services and allow the business to take care of the rest.

I think you should have a game site to bring the kids into the SBD family. You can even go as far as having games that will help teach them or help with homework in addition to just playing. It could generate some revenue by buying games and charging a small monthly fee for the teaching games (a two-part site?). I would go there and play Bejeweled 2! You already have efriends, social bookmarking, videos, radio spots, advertising, ecards, - it will round out what you offer. Use the site to sell commercial video advertising to large companies who also advertise on Yahoo, Excite, MSN etc., and use part of that income to provide video training materials to the CAM's and CKM's and Affiliates. These training materials could also be downloaded for podcasting as well.

This might seem silly compared to other suggestions but I think it would be great if Searchbigdaddy.com and BigDaddy.com would offer Tee Shirts for purchase with the words Searchbigdaddy.com, BigDaddy.com and BigMamma.com. Offer in both adult and childres sizes. It would be great advertising and would make great gifts. Thanks

My idea for BigDaddy.com is a FUN-ZONE. Make it smart, sharp, trendy. A site where people would go for games, e-cards, videos, music, all the stuff the SearchBigDaddy already offers. I don't know if it is possible but a cusustomizable site, where each person can personalize the way the see and use BigDaddy.com. A site that says, hey this is my site, it has everything I need, want and use when I'm on the web; whether that be playing games, sending e-cards or email, downloading, sharing and watching videos, using the search engine, surfing (possible traffic exchange of affiliates who want to be included - not sure what the cost in Ap or $ would be) or whatever. But each person could pick and choose how they would customize the site for their enjoyment. Maybe there could also be a refferal URL in the back office of SearchBig daddy so that affiliates could invite people to come to BigDaddy.com and partake of all SearchBigDaddy has to offer without having to send invitations for each separate service of SearchBigDaddy.

I'd like to see a big email advertising site (sort of like a safelist) with a matrix; or a leads site with a matrix. You can never have too many places to advertise. Since Search Big Daddy has several advertising type of programs & search engine advertising, etc., this would be a good addition.

But I must admit, after reading some of the other great suggestions, I think the auction/payment processor would really prove Big Daddy RULES!

There are some genuine concerns with regards to several issues and it's good that they have come to the surface. I'm sure corporate office is taking it all in.

My opinion after reading most of the posts is still the same, I believe that bigdaddy.com should stick to it's core business, keep things simple, and localize as much as possible. Don't forget that's why we're all here.

So here's my idea, I think the car wrap idea was fantastic, so why not expand on that idea. Doesn't it make sense that if you have local portals you need to have the local people involved as well as business.

In my mind people are key to success on-line as well as off-line. So it should make sense to do everything in your power to get traffic to these portals.
Since these cars are putting serious miles on their cars each week I think a speaker system could also be added to the vehicles to announce messages from sponser advertisers.

Check out the senario, the big daddy vehicle rolls through downtown, uptown or wherever, and spots a crowd on the street. The car stops and a handful of hooter girls get out and hand out a bunch of vouchers for a free cocktail or appetiser.

Do you think that would catch a little attention? This car could pull up to any kind of event and do the same for any advertiser with or without the girls.

How about announcing a special deal if they go to bigdaddy.com and look for the special there. Do you think anybody would do that?

All kinds of ideas are flowing from my mind right now but hey, you got the basics.

This site should not be about you or me, this site should be an extension of what were here to accomplish.

Hello. There is one thing that I did think of one thing that might be of use to those big on the whole theme of localization. That would be allow people inside a city to build their own city wiki. I came across one totally by accident at Google. This particular wiki was on of a city near where I grew up as a kid, the Hyattsville Wiki. [http://www.hyattsvillewiki.com]

I think that setting up a City Wiki system where each city gets their own wiki and inviting citizens that live within the city to add information would be the ultimate localization/customization. As cities grow and change the users that live in that city can add or edit the appropriate
information. Let users recommend places to readers, tell them about historic places, allow businesses to give more detailed information on their services epically if they don't have web sites, ect..

So for the record please consider adding a City Wiki system to your next property.

I'm sure Big Daddy corporate will be pleased to have received all the above suggestions to get their teeth into.

When we were young we would always look to our mums and dads for answers to questions we may have about life. Now that we are adult wouldn't it be great if we could ask Big Daddy to answer our daily questions. Instead of asking jeeves we could be asking our Big Daddy. The home page could be linked to all other parts of Big Daddy and also to the very latest LOCAL news - weather - TV/radio programs - local events - Free and paid competitions, games etc etc etc. This should introduce regular visits from the general public as opposed to mainly business marketing people like most of us.

Big Daddy would be well rewarded by opening the doors to the masses of non business minded searchers.

I like Damon's idea of a city wiki, it kind of goes alogn with my idea of a personalized site. Part of the personal customization would be to put you sity wiki on your apge that way you could look for whatever you need in your city (cinemas, bowling, skateboard parks, post office, chruches, etc.) would be right on your personalized page. This would also help SearchBigDaddy because the local classified ads would be a part of the city wiki. I think alot more city businesses would sign up if they knew that when someone from their city went to the BigDaddy.com website that their city would automatically be the city listed for that person. (I am assuming this could be done by way of ISP addresses or zip codes)Anyway it is just an idea

I have been reading all your comments over the past couple of days, WOW so many people not to happy with Ebay, or Paypal, I'm with you on this also. I would also like to see BiggDaddy add in a TOP Autoresponder service one that would rival aweber and getresponse etc.. BigDaddy could offer this to all Affiliates at a reasonable price and or share the revenue from the sales of this Autoresponder with all affiliates CKM/CAMs etc. I also have a $million$ idea that would fit well with Search Big Daddy BigDaddy or BigMamma but I wont share this one here, if Troy is interested maybe I will contact you for a one on one at some point in the near future.

All in all, though, I'd say - like others have - "Please don't reinvent the wheel!"

By that, I mean NO pay processor (too much trouble for BigDaddy to get involved in), NO auction site (too many are failing already, and you really can't believe we could compete with eBay anyway), NO games or music sites (again, it's being done and would be easy to affiliate with one that is working).

Although I, too, would like a better 'friends' program or a bigger 'videos' suite, the ones we have can be improved upon.

But one idea I like is to help out members with Domain and web-hosting purchases. That, plus a lot of other services that are 'cutting edge' - like WiFi Internet, 3D Virtual Reality and Marketing, T1+ Internet connections and more - could be made available to members (and could make a lot of money for members!) through a relationship with ItsYourNet.com (click my name).

Even if BigDaddy bought out GoDaddy, there is nothing new to be achieved.

However, 3D Virtual Reality, WiFi, 'always-on' T1+ Internet connections - now THAT is where we could make an impact on out local communities! And make a lot of money, too!

Check out the possibilities of getting the local community's ISP to switch to IYN services! Fantastic!

In addition to the above, members would also have access to a full suite of marketing tools (voice mail calling, contact manager, autoresponder, bizopp leads and more).

BigDaddy.com, with this kind of offering to all BigDaddyPays/SBD members, would definitely 'rock the house'!

in regard to the contest. why not implement a "myspace meets yahoo groups meets forums" type site catering to ebusiness marketers to network, advertise, promote etc. you can create incentives to members who "do more" of the above. (e.g. give advantage points, or better view positions on site, cash, etc.)

I am very keen on the idea of a Big Daddy Debit card and discount shopping portal- nothing like the feel of Plastic… it makes for a great way to develope a presence in the brick and mortar world.

Also great would be the addition of an educational/social networking portal-with free "tutoring" available for all grade levels from K to College… invite volunteer tutors to answer questions from student visitors.

Big Daddy TV (ala Veoh– http://www.veoh.com) would bring a large audience… internet TV is really breaking big with sites such a Joost ect.

This is really a neat way to develop Search Big Daddy and all aspects of the company and its programs…by having the membership so involved.

Having been a middle school principal for years, I like the idea of building on "GO LOCAL" by establishing a School Keyword Manager position. This could do two important things for schools…establish the use of Search Big Daddy as an essential educational tool in the learning process for students…and, to be used as fundraising program.

Much like the objective of Apple Computer years ago…to put an Apple on the desk of every teacher in America, schools would focus on promoting the use of Search Big Daddy by every student in America. Instead of students and all of America saying "Google It!" have them saying "Daddy It!" by developing a huge fundraiser program in every school. The fundraiser program could award schools, students, teachers and the community through perhaps "Advantage Points" that could be redeemed in one or more special ways to meet the financial needs of the schools (co-curricular sports and music programs,etc.). (Example: Students could earn Advantage Points by having their parents, relatives, friends and other community adults sign up as SBD Free Affiliates…this would not only build SBD in a huge way, but it would promote those affiliates to pursue many other of the SBD programs and opportunities.)

The connections between the business and educational aspects of the fundraiser program could be encouraged through the local Chamber of Commerce or other civic/business organizations. This could also be another avenue for City Keyword Managers to encourage and make sales to businesses as businesses become involved in such a comprehensive school fundraiser program.

Such an approach could take advantage of the strong parent and community support of their schools which is already in place. Certainly each community and school could customize their fundraiser program to meet their unique interests and needs…through the effective work of a School Keyword Manager.

Also, a fundraiser program of this type is ripe for consideration by schools. First, they need funds to run their co-curricular programs which have been cut or reduced in many schools because of lost financial resources. Second, parents and community members are more and more concerned about having proper nuitrition for their children. Fundraisers that promote sweets for raising monies for schools (which have been highly used and popular for years) are being challenged…and some states have passed laws that ban some vending machines in schools.
A strong, exciting Search Big Daddy fundraiser program could be a reasonable consideration!

Seems to me that the idea of SBD having its very own City Wiki kind of page is an excellent idea. It should be a great attention getter for the Local Cities.

May I propose my idea of combining ALL Search Big Daddy web properties into one web page/property, BigDaddy.Com by inserting links. Throw in Featured articles (joint venture with article providers), national news (joint venture with CNN?, job search (joint venture with Monster?, weather (joint venture with Weather.com?), shopping, etc. Don't forget to neglect SNAP ads which should be there as well. Include polling and fundraising links (Project Kindness, for example).

Follow Yahoo.com, MSN.com and AOL.com platform. Only make BigDaddy.com more better, visually attractive and easy to read. I believe seeing everything (all links) at one web property, BigDaddy.Com, will bring in higher traffic and keep visitors online at BigDaddy.com for longer period of time.

To be honest, I am guilty of going to Yahoo.com, MSN.com and AOL.com more often because I can get to read any topics, select any web properties, etc there from one web property. Since I spend a lot of time there, I am more tempted to use their search engine frequently. If BigDaddy.com have those feature, I will definitely spend more time there and access SBD search engine, SBD mail, etc.

this comment is about the sister Property, Big Mamma! It needs improvement on the design. It looks like a little kid designed it. All that pink does not come across the computer monitor very well. The pink writing does not read clear on top of the pink background. you need to enlarge the lettering if you use it that way to make it readable. All the different pink pieces of the web page are all squished up like you ran out of room. Surely for something so grand you can afford a better design or more effort to make it more presenable than that! It needs to be appealing to the eye to grab the attention of the first time visitor. You only have so many seconds to asorb that attention si make the best of it to bring them back!
